Not the seeing together nor choosing the Date..

Many believe that marriage is the greatest Achievement,

Especially in Africa, when you're not, there's no Acknowledgement..

People watch as you step from an age to another each Year,

They calculate your life, pressure with worries and Fear..

Some allow themselves to be forced to make fast Decisions,

Without control of themselves, clear thoughts and Precision..

They get deceived by all they see on Television or social Medias,

They don't know it takes more than research in an Encyclopedia..

When people tell you their personal hurtful and horrible Stories,

Issues that's tough to say or relate, you'll feel more than Sorries..

What partners do without fear of God or a level of Conscience,

You begin to see how far evil can be done with so much Confidence..

Some, rather than grow, express and display the real Maturity,

You clearly see their level of thoughts and true Irresponsibility..

Some will simply do anything to get themselves out of the Bond,

They forget there was a vow and drag each other through the Pond..

Some become toxic, cheat and abusive, they seem to hide it All,

The signs were there, but they chose to endure and take the Fall..

Some know the truth about the partner, yet will go ahead to Marry,

The 'double ring' and the title 'Mrs', that's what they want to Carry..

It is said that "Marriage will come or bring its own Tribu-lations",

So it's not about picking aso-ebi, the photos and Congratulations..

No matter how long we study a partner, we can't know them to the Full,

Because you can give someone all your Love and yet get treated like a Mule..

..Marriage is not about finding a partner, but being

prepared for the things that could cause Asunder..
