... CRUEL COMPLEMENT ...

A Yoruba proverb do say: "One hand isn't enough to lift a load on the Head",

To many, most of these words seems like nothing, simply words been Said..

It's sad how we take the people that ought to be a forever for Granted,

All in the name of reaping or harvesting where we did not sow nor Planted..

From the start we know all the effort a man puts in to win a lady's Heart,

Sometimes, he goes out of his way, to tell her how she's tearing him Apart..

Saying this and that, all in the name of hearing her say: I have Accepted,

And all during this time, all the attention she needs is never Neglected..

But as time goes on, most begin to lose focus and their Momentum,

They seem to forget all it took them to achieve the Referendum..

They gradually ignore the one they once promised heaven and Earth,

The one they told they'll give everything, even to the point of Death..

A lady has willingly accepted a man's proposal in all good and true Fate,

She has sized him up and probably seen that he's okay in all her Rate..

Looked and thought of the pros and cons before accepting to Date,

Made her research here and there and discover that he has a clean Slate..

She begins to enjoy the whole jellies and stuffs that comes with the Package,

Enjoying the food, the outings, the drive-bys in the Horse and Carriage..

Telling her friends and the whole world through the internet and social Handles,

Expressing, posting pictures and videos of their dinners with perfumed Candles..

Then gradually begins to lose interest as those things begins to Falter,

She thinks to herself, I'm with him to enjoy and not come to Suffer..

Starts to loosen her grip, because there's just bread and no more Butter,

And looks the other way, but gives the great man excuses that holds no Water...

...That is simply the sad truth of relationship and marriage sometimes... But where do you Belong?
