... MATURED AND WISE ...

Have you noticed something quite common Recently?

There's a much rise of divorce in marriage Consistently..

People give one excuse or the other about their Union,

They say it's one issue or that, something about Dominion..

People usually ignore a particular thing when Dating,

They see certain signs, but still go ahead with Wedding..

They forget that "a broken relationship is better than a broken Marriage",

They notice peculiar things at certain times, yet they go ahead to Manage..

Some just seem to think: "But that girl is simply too Fine",

Look at her beauty, her skin glowing like sweet red Wine..

They forget these things isn't going to last Forever,

What started in early January, may not last till December..

The man may exude signs of violence and anger Too,

But the lady would say, he will change, my time is long Due..

Cheating and keeping late nights may even be his Thing,

But she'll ignore everything as long as the Naira he Brings..

Family will nudge and push, they'll tell to paddle left or Right,

They'll say beautiful things just to make you see see the Light..

Some friends will cover up because of what they stand to Gain,

But they'll all disappear when the sun is gone and starts to Rain..

It's true, some hide what they are during their Relationship,

They give an idea of a good person in the course of Courtship..

So, they pretend for as long as they can till they Succeed,

Then, after acquiring the status, bad things they start to Breed..

It true, there's no amount of caution we take, it might turn out Bad,

Might be certain we've done our homework, yet pick the wrong Card..

But, in all, we must be patient with all the things that'll be a Surprise,

Knowing marriage is not just for anyone, but the Matured and the Wise..
