MODEL PRAYER

... MODEL PRAYER ...

Most of us are familiar with the Model Prayer,

We know how it is written, each layer by Layer.

We can write, say or recite it even in our Sleep,

From childhood in our hearts all the words we do Keep..

But, how many of us take each line Seriously?

How many times have we analyzed it Curiously?

Because most of the time, we just rush Through,

Some even think it's a prayer meant for the Jew..

But do you remember the part: "Protect us from Evil"?

Do we really sit to ponder, how it concerns Me and You?

Do you know how many times God has protected Us?

Can you recount how you've been saved from the wrong Course?

Sometimes, bad things suddenly happens to good People,

The right place at the wrong time, it can be that Simple..

We could be focused on our business and trouble Shows,

We could be enroute somewhere and some wahala Blows..

The fact is, most of us don't spare time to Pray,

But when there's a problem, there's something to Say..

We ignore the silent moments we ought to share with our Creator,

The only one who can never fail in all his promises, our Benefactor..

I guess sometimes we think the model prayer is just for Children,

We feel it's one of those they need to learn from age One to Ten..

We don't know each part are guidelines for our survival and Existence,

To build a relationship, to love and to understand our need for Persistence..

... So, have you prayed TODAY? There's more to the MODEL PRAYER ...
