... THE CHAIN OF LIFE ...

Many faces,

Different Places..

Journeys of its Kind,

With stories in Mind..

Disparity of Mission,

With peculiar Vision..

We see, but can't Tell,

Many going through Hell..

Some have simply given Up,

Few are pushing to the Top..

There is high heat Inside,

And it's pretty cold Outside..

We claim to love each Other,

But within, we hate our Brother..

'I love you', every now and Then,

But few can be given nine over Ten..

We compare ourself to Them,

When we can't tell their Problem..

Crisis, chaos, wars and Injustice,

Outcry, wailing and loss never Cease..

The birth of a newborn to lift the Heart,

But the death of another to tear it Apart..

Life's traps hidden here and There,

One can simply be caught just Anywhere..

We leave our homes to seek what to Eat,

To get some means to make soup and Wheat..

We toil and struggle to pay for our Rent,

Hoping to stay strong, fit and never Bent..

Yet the demons we face are within our Soul,

Pulling us back from reaching our true Goal..

We buy and sell, then manage to Save,

Then are told tales about the tokens we Gave..

And we decide within our houses to Keep,

Yet we stay awake and our brain hardly Asleep..

High walls to keep the unwanted Away,

But we call their attention better this Way..

One way or the other, we are Strained,

Ten times more than that, we are Restrained..

We are pulled in different ways and Directions,

Suffering shame, insults and sheer Rejections..

We are truly torn between our heart and Brain,

Because everyday it's a struggle to hold both end of Life's Chain..
