... TWO SIDES OF A STORY ...

A Yoruba adage says and you'll see it is truly clear of our Doubt,

That the words of the wise are usually heard from an idiot's Mouth..

Because the heart of mankind is dark, cunning and pretty Deep,

It plans to do good or evil depending on what we feed each Beep..

Many atime we are quickly attracted to what we hear and not See,

That moment, we think with our ears and that's not how it ought to Be..

We feel a measure of distraction from what we ought to Know,

We fail to seek answers, the real truth and just deliver our Blow..

We become a judge, who chose to turn his eyes from what is Right,

A person who decides to stay in darkness when most is in the Light..

We believe every single word we hear from one or another Person,

Matters that will only bring pain, rather than cause Blessing..

It's sad how people become the carrier of news faster than the Media,

Then decide to add flesh to it with words more than the Encyclopedia..

We then create a spider web effect as we go about to share what we Heard,

Instead of minding our business, it becomes our cup of tea and daily Bread..

What we never ask ourselves is: What I heard, is it really True?

What if the person that told me doesn't really have a Clue?

What if this whole thing is a charade to soil the person's Image?

And how does it concern me, will I get some salary or some Wage?

It is said that, one does not simply jump into the river to test the Depth,

We measure it by putting one leg in first, so we don't hop to our Death..

So it's paramount to seek the verity of a matter in order to avoid a state of Flurry,

It's best to avoid gossip and falsehood, but rather listen to The Two Side of a Story..

..A person's name is far more worth than Money and Gold, so don't just accept every word you hear or was Told..
