... WORK AND REST ...

Yorubas do say: The length of work is longer than our Lifespan,

Just as the situation of the world is tougher for Man and Woman..

We seem to work and work everyday just to make ends Meet,

After all the struggle, money won't be enough to buy Meat..

Some wake as early as 3am to catch a bus early to Work,

Despite their sleepless night, at times they get Stuck..

They get home around 11pm at night to meet Darkness,

No power supply for days, to meet empty pot and Blackness..

We leave our nine to five jobs to set up a lucrative Business,

To gain some freedom, to acquire some peace and Happiness..

We want to be our own boss and don't want to feel Enslaved,

But sometimes even with all of that, we still feel Unsaved..

So, we dust our certificates and go back to our eight to six Jobs,

We search the internet and more, to join some group and Hubs..

We return to those places we swore not to return at anytime To,

Not because it's our intention, but due to issues peculiar to I and You..

So we spend so much time and extra to make more Money,

We join this and that, including platforms that are Funny..

All in the name of "I must make it" whether by hook or Crook,

And this thought makes us jump first sometimes before we Look ..

The question is: To what end will you go to make it in this Life?

Will you go out with tooth and nail or with dagger and Knife?

Yes, money is sweet, in fact it's good, nice and a pleasant Protection,

But, take a break and rest, cause each day we're close to Expiration..

..And all the money in the World won't be ENOUGH TO SAVE US..Work no dey Finish..
